MDAM is a non-profit organization originally founded by Gwen Finnen
in 1983 as the Society for Depression & Manic Depression of Manitoba.
Since then we have operated throughout the province of Manitoba supporting
those affected by mood disorders and to their friends, families and caregivers.
The Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba offers:

Peer Support
Support is provided by a dedicated and caring group of
volunteers & staff, most of whom have been diagnosed with
Depression or Bipolar Affective Disorder and are currently in
recovery. Peer Support is provided in the form of:
Public Education
The Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba’s team of
speakers provide public information sessions on a range
of topics relating to personal and familial experiences with
mood disorders. On request we will provide speakers for
select groups such as schools, clubs or workplace groups.
